The Chicago Sun-Times reports today, a potential challenge  many “Big City” fire departments have faced. Myriad pension sweeteners around the Country obligate fire departments to fill huge voids left by Senior Firefighters retiring en masse. Resultingly,  many fire departments find themselves referring to seniority and experience as relative.
